Abstract

There are several methods for inoculating Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum, which yield variable results. Therefore, in studies on the selection of resistant materials or in bioassays for race identification, an efficient inoculation method is necessary to maintain and guarantee the abundance and pathogenicity of the inoculum. This study demonstrated that inoculation by root immersion or through Fon-colonized wheat grains is effective for evaluating the pathogenicity of this fungus.
