Abstract

In Mexico, sugarcane is a crop that boosts food production, provides inputs for the sugar industry and the cogeneration of bioenergy. However, this crop faces significant economic risks due to the low yields reported in recent years. In addition, it is important to consider the effects caused by climate change and soil deterioration due to the excessive use of agrochemicals. Therefore, the use of bioenhancers and biofertilizers is a viable alternative that contributes to the sustainable production of crops, as it allows the regeneration of agricultural ecosystems, improving soil quality and the yields of sugarcane production.
